The Quad Lock® Mounting System extends the functionality of your smart phone enabling you to use the many apps while on the go. Below are some apps that we recommend. We have no affiliation with these Apps, we just think they are great to use with the Quad Lock® Mounting System.
Strava is a great App for cyclists and joggers alike. When using the App, Strava keeps track of your rides or runs and logs all the information to a database when the event is complete. All your rides/runs can be viewed through the App or through a great web interface. One of the coolest features of Strava is segments. Segments are sections of trails or roads which are created by Strava users which have a start and end point. If you happen to run or ride through one of these segments,Strava will track you and compare your time with every one else who has been through that segment. The results are displayed on a leader board so you can see how you compare with your local Strava users. Its very addictive and can also make you very competitive. Unfortunately Strava has a very limited live feed of information but we've heard this may be changing in the future.
The App is free in both the App and Play stores however you can pay for a premium membership which extends the functionality of the App to accept data from heart rate, speed and cadence sensors.
Road Bike is similar to Strava but it displays information such as speed, cadence and heart rate live on the screen as your riding.Road Bike also displays maps and weather. The data collected by Road Bike can be uploaded to the Runtastic fitness community which has over 10 million members.
Works with Ant+ accessories such as heartrate monitors and speed/cadence sensors.
